IS ANESTHESIA RIGHT FOR ME?
Anesthesia is tailored to each and every patient with safety and comfort in mind. A complete compliment of emergency medication management is readily available during the anesthetic experience along with the knowledge and expertise to utilize this if the situation arises. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact Dr. Yancey using the contact form below or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Anesthesia during dentistry may be necessary for a variety of reasons. Dental phobic patients, patients with special needs, or pediatric patients unable to cooperate for dental procedures may require anesthesia services. General Anesthesia in the dental office may provide the most ideal scenario for everybody involved to provide comprehensive dental treatment in a very safe enviroment.
In some instances general anesthesia may not be the ideal scenario. The reasons for this may include a severely medically compromised patient or patient preference. In scenarios such as this a moderate or conscious sedation may be the best option. In this scenario an IV will be placed and anti-anxiety medications are given to take the edge off while still maintaining consciousness.
WHICH LEVEL OF ANESTHESIA IS RIGHT FOR ME?
This will be determined through consultation with both the patient and the operating dentist/surgeon. Dr. Yancey will be in contact with all of the patients prior to the treatment taking place in order to determine which level of anesthesia is right. A time to answer any questions that the patients or caregivers might have will be provided to everybody.
