"I just wanted to let you know that our experience working with you on our last major case was amazing. The whole procedure was smooth and seamless due to the expertise you provide. Not only was it a much safer and efficient procedure from the care team’s standpoint but even the patient mentioned how impressed she was with you. She said, “If I ever need anesthesia services in the future, I only want Dr. Yancey to do it.” Thank you for the great experience."

GENERAL ANESTHESIA

Anesthesia during dentistry may be necessary for a variety of reasons. Dental phobic patients, patients with special needs, or pediatric patients unable to cooperate for dental procedures may require anesthesia services. General Anesthesia in the dental office may provide the most ideal scenario for everybody involved to provide comprehensive dental treatment in a very safe enviroment.

MODERATE/DEEP SEDATION

In some instances general anesthesia may not be the ideal scenario. The reasons for this may include a severely medically compromised patient or patient preference. In scenarios such as this a moderate or conscious sedation may be the best option. In this scenario an IV will be placed and anti-anxiety medications are given to take the edge off while still maintaining consciousness.
